Glenn C. Gundersen, 62

EAST LIVERPOOL - Glenn C. Gundersen, 62, of East Liverpool, died suddenly Oct. 20, 2012.

He was a son of the late Fred and Wilma Gundersen. A graduate of the Cleveland Heights High School, he later attended Cleveland State University. He retired after 30 years of service from the Red Cross where he directed it's Platelet Donation Program.

His life partner survives, Dr. Robert H. Edwards, at home. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Susan Radecki, and her husband Fred, of Cleveland Heights; and a brother, Paul Gundersen, and his wife Carol, of Westlake, Ohio.

There are five nieces and nephews: Matthew Gundersen, Aaron Gundersen, Amy Radecki, Kristen Radecki and Nicholas Radecki; along with one great-nephew, Adrian; and an uncle, F. Robert "Bob" Fritz of St. Petersburg, Fla. He will also be fondly remembered by his many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Church of the Redeemer, 2420 South Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of the Salvation Army-East Liverpool, 413 East 4th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920 or The Urban Mission, 301 North 4th Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.

A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
