Shelly M. Simms, Stagecoach Road, reported Monday her 36-year-old daughter, Kelly A. Leach is missing. Simms' last contact with her daughter was a text message Sunday afternoon, according to police, who reported that Leach is seven months pregnant. Due to medical issues, Simms is her daughter's legal guardian and she told officers Leach stayed the night at friends' in Wellsville Saturday, then was to stay at the Days Inn in Lisbon. Leach was described as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, 154 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants, yellow rain coat and white tennis shoes and driving a silver 2006 Chevy HHR. She had a small white dog with her at last report. Anyone with information can contact the police department.
Officers responded Thursday to Taco Bell on state Route 170 for an assault report. There, Aaron Abbott, age and address not listed, said an intoxicated man had become verbally abusive to him in the restaurant. Abbott and his friend were then reportedly confronted by the man outside in the parking lot, where a woman accompanying him punched Abbott in the face. Officers located Joshua R. Wooten, 27, Howard Avenue and charged him with disorderly conduct. The woman was not identified and not charged.
