CHESTER - Barbara A. Michaels Cozic, 58, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following complications from a liver transplant a few weeks earlier.
She was a daughter of the late Guy M. Michaels and Caroline Colbert Michaels Mendelson and was born on Oct. 3, 1954, in East Liverpool.
Prior to her illness, Barbara had worked at National Church Supply in Chester.

She was a member of the Chester First Christian Church and graduated from high school in Gainesville, Fla.
One sister, Carolyn M. Michaels preceded her in death.
Barbara is survived by one son, Trevor (Steffanie) Pugh and their ten week old daughter, Soffia Caroline Pugh of Greensburg, Pa.; one sister, Diane Price of Chester; and five brothers, David, Charlie, and John Michaels of Chester, Guy Daniel Michaels of Negley, and Joe Michaels of Orlando, Fla.
Pastor Phil Fairchild will help to celebrate Barbara's life on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where family and friends will gather on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m.
