Harry Bowers
TORONTO-Harry Robert Bowers, age 72, of Toronto, Ohio passed away at his home Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.
He was born Jan. 17, 1940 in Toronto, Ohio the son of the late Robert William and Mildred Pauline (Grimm) Bowers.
Mr. Bowers was a member of the North River Avenue Christian Church of Toronto and was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War Era Veteran. He is retired from the Ohio Edison (First Energy) Company, Toronto Power Plant.
He is survived by his wife Linda A. (Peach) Bowers; son, Robert A. Bowers of Adena, Ohio; daughter, Laura Schoonover of Toronto, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William Lee Bowers of East Liverpool, Ohio; and sister, Mildred Louise (Millie) Orris of Bergholz, Ohio.
Friends and family will gather for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A celebration service of Mr. Bowers life will be held 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Hanze officiating. There will be full military honors by the Toronto American Legion before services Tuesday evening.
