He had spent his entire life in this area, having graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1957 and remaining here to raise his family alongside his beloved wife, the former Peggy Linville, whom he married on May 8, 1959. She survives him at home.

Butch was associated with the IBEW as a union electrician for 42 years, where he had served as Business Manager at one time. He was a member of the Riddle Lodge #315 F & AM, and in his spare time, he was always happiest when he was helping other people, no matter what was asked of him. He also enjoyed playing golf, and was extremely thrilled to have once shot a hole-in-one. But undoubtedly, Butch's greatest joy was found in the time he spent with his wife, his children, his grandchildren and their extended family.

Butch was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Wellsville.

In addition to his wife, Butch leaves behind his three daughters: Robin Litten and her husband, Mark, of Huron, Ohio; Kathy Hoff of Hilliard, Ohio; and Jennifer Galanis and her husband, Bill, of Monrovia, Md. There are three grandchildren as well: Kaitlyn Litten, Kellyn Litten and Taylor Hoff.

Two sisters also survive: Ruth Ann Adkins and her husband, Bob, of East Liverpool, and Cynthia Humphrey and her husband, David, also of East Liverpool, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the church officiating. Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Contributions may be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
