The Review

In Municipal Court Thursday, Todd A. Hawthorne, 30, Church Alley, Chester, W.Va., was fined $475, sentenced to 90 days, 70 suspended, and placed on probation two years for a third offense driving under suspension charge. He was given credit for four jail days already served and was fined $30 for defective exhaust.

Andre T. Harris, 28, Ellwood City, Pa., was sentenced to 30 jail days for falsification, with an obstructing official business charge dismissed.

John P. Powell Jr., 22, Beloit, was fined $200 and sentenced to 15 days for obstructing official business and was fined $100 for intoxication.

Reese J. Slappy, 22, Princeton Avenue, was fined $100, sentenced to 180 days, 135 suspended and placed on probation two years for assault. He was ordered to have no contact with Paige Laughlin, Dominica Busby or her infant. For assault (infant child), he was given the same fine, sentence and probation.

A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Michael J. Cross, 38, Lisbon Street, due to the alleged victim being unable to participate in the case at this time.

Tracey L. Mattern, 41, Ransom, W.Va., was fined $40 for unsafe vehicle.

Elleck S. Quinn, 35, Valley Avenue, was fined $75 for disorderly conduct/intoxication, with a pretrial set Oct. 18 on a domestic violence charge.

Lacey J. Dabler, 26, state Route 170, Negley, was fined $200 and sentenced to 60 days for a third theft offense.

Jason M. Zander, 33, East Fifth Street, was fined $200, sentenced to 90 days, 60 suspended, and placed on probation two years for a third theft offense.

A jury trial was scheduled Dec. 6 for Diane K. Wells, 47, Ohio River Boulevard, Chester, W.Va., charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and failure to control.

A second pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Robert G. Weyand, 41, Clark Street, charged with domestic violence.

A second pretrial was scheduled Nov. 8 for Molly D. Williams, 54, Grimm's Bridge Road, charged with criminal trespass and obstructing official business. Public defender Stacie Alejars was released as counsel and Attorney Fred Naragon named as her replacement.
