EAST?LIVERPOOL-The First United Methodist Church, West 5th Street, is having a benefit dinner 1-5 p.m. Saturday for Cassie (Long) DiRenzo, who is battling colon cancer. Cost is $7. Children under 5 free. Menu includes pasta, salad, roll, dessert and beverage. Carryout available. A bake sale, Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing, pumpkin painting for the children and a corn hole contest for $20 per team also scheduled. Tickets may be purchased at the door or at the following businesses: James Locke Jewelers, East Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Herche Bloor Pharmacy, Sabatini Shoes, Center Pharmacy in Wellsville, New Cumberland Pharmacy, Nila Jo's Natural Nutrition, Citizen's Pharmacy and Frank's Pastries. Donations may be made to the PNC Bank, Oakmont Branch, in c/o Cassie DiRenzo Benefit.

HIGHLANDTOWN - The Volunteer Fire Department is having an Open House Community Picnic 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be a hog roast with beverages. Bring a covered dish of your choice. The food will be ready by 3 p.m. The new fire engine will be on display.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The VFW Post No. 66 will be serving breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.

The menu includes eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, home fries, sausage gravy, hot cakes, toast and coffee. The cost is $4. Carry-outs available.

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce is selling memorial labels to be placed on the Christmas Bulb for the Village Christmas tree at the Gazebo. They are $5 each with one name of a deceased loved one on each bulb.

All names will be read at Light Up Night at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. The Daw Middle School Show Choir will be singing several carols.

CALCUTTA - By presenting a fundraising flyer, patrons of Bob Evans in Calcutta on Monday will aid "Project HOPE of Beaver County," a Midland-based non-profit organization that provides the community with education about HIV prevention and transmission. The restaurant will donate 15 percent of sales from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Call 724-862-0015 or visit www.projecthopeofbeavercounty.org to receive a flyer. Project HOPE also provides people living with the disease and their families with a monthly support group and food bank.

WELLSVILLE - There will be a meeting 6 p.m. Monday for any WHS Alumni who wish to participate, in any form, with the upcoming Lip Sync/Musical Variety Show scheduled for Nov. 10th. The show will be put on by the Wellsville Alumni All Stars and proceeds will go to the WHS Alumni Center and the 2015 WHS All Class Reunion entertainment and activities. SALINEVILLE - The Community Choir will begin rehearsal 7:30 p.m. Monday.

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Historical Society will hold its regular meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the River Museum, Riverside Ave. There will be a Trustees meeting before at 7:00 pm. The program will be presented by Tim McNicol, Esq. He is an Asst. County Prosecutor, an Asst. East Liverpool Prosecutor and Magistrate for both Wellsville and Salineville.

Luncheon will be served by Joan and Tom Davidson.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The 1st Church of the Nazarene, Walnut Street, will open its clothing closet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, to distribute free clothing to the community. The entrance to the clothing closet is on the Minerva Street side.
