Jeffrey Scot Waide, 59
CHESTER-Jeffrey Scot Waide, 59, of Chester, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born August 18, 1953 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of Lester and Norma (Beaver) Waide of Newell, W.Va.
Jeffrey was a 1971 graduate of Oak Glen High School. He formerly worked as a Kiln Placer at Homer Laughlin China Company. He was a member of the N.R.A. and was an avid deer hunter; he was also a NASCAR fan and an avid Dolphin fan.
Besides his parents, surviving are a son, Jeffrey Waide of Chester; a daughter, Jenifer Waide of Chester; two grandchildren, Garrett and Jadyn; a sister Nancy (Craig) Boyd of Chester.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W.Va., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Steve Cummings will be officiating. Burial will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.
