Mary J. Burchett, 41, no address listed, was charged Sunday morning with public intoxication after officers were called to Saint George Street at 1:11 a.m. for a woman trying to open the front door of a residence, where she was unknown. Officer reported finding her pulling on the front door, smelling of alcohol and with speech so slurred they could not understand when asked her identity. She was released to her mother.
Michael J. Phillips, 23, 16 School Road, Wellsville, was cited for assured clear distance Friday after his vehicle reportedly struck a vehicle driven by Judith L. Harris, 61, Maple Avenue, Wellsville, which was shoved into a vehicle driven by Daniel Smith, 75, Wilson Street, Salineville, while all were driving south on state Route 7. All the drivers declined medical treatment.
Zoe E. Delilo, 20, Morgantown, W.Va., was cited Friday night for assured clear distance after her vehicle reportedly rear-ended a vehicle driven by James E. Neville, 18, Dewey Avenue, while both were southbound on the exit ramp from state Route 11 north.
