East Liverpool Police for 10-6

October 6, 2012
The Review

Michael J. Cross, 38, Lisbon Street, was charged with domestic violence after his grandmother, Ilene R. Echols, 73, same address, reported she was in the car, ready to go to the bank with him when she wrote a check for $10 with which they planned to purchase some items. She told police the check apparently was not for enough money and Cross became angry, grabbing her by the hand, jerking her out of the car and throwing her to the pavement. Echols suffered injuries to her hand and forehead and a neighbor called an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

A driver and two passengers were all charged Friday morning after an officer reportedly saw the vehicle run a flashing red light on Broadway. The driver, Everett Moore, no age or address listed, was cited for failure to stop at a red light. Officers asked for identification for him and his two female passengers, one of whom complied and was identified as Kristina Swain, 27, who was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. The second passenger reportedly gave officers a number of different names and Social Security numbers but was eventually identified as Amy D. McClain, 32, Avondale Street, who also had an outstanding warrant. McClain was charged with obstructing official business. St. Clair Townships K-9 team was called to search the car and canine officer Axel reportedly alerted on the passenger door, but no drugs were found, according to reports.
