John C. Frederick, 86

EAST LIVERPOOL - John C. Frederick, 86, passed away Sept. 28, 2012. A funeral service in his honor was held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange, Fla.

He was born Sept. 14, 1926 in East Liverpool. He was a 1944 graduate of East Liverpool High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy serving during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion and 40/8 in East Liverpool. When his children were young he coached little league baseball.

John worked at Crucible Steel until his retirement in 1982. He and his wife, Ruth, relocated to Port Orange in 1990. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. During his lifetime he traveled to 49 of the 50 states. He also enjoyed going on ocean cruises.

John leaves behind his children Linda (Terry) Emmerling, John K. (Corlee) Frederick, Stephen (Connie) Frederick, and Karen Frederick.

He also leaves behind his best friend and companion of 13 years, Bobbie; four brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

John is now at peace with his late wife, Ruth Marie Frederick.

Arrangements were made under the care of Lohman Funeral Home, Port Orange, Fla.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Memorial Park.

Donations in John's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
