Highway Patrol Reports 9-30

Helen L. Moffett, 18, Highland Avenue, Wellsville, was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle after she wrecked while driving an ATV on Taylor Road in Middleton Township at 4:15 p.m. Monday. Moffett and her passenger, 16-year-old Roy L. Moffett III, were ejected and taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Amber K. McCombs, 37, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was cited for OVI, reckless operation and failure to control after she struck an embankment and sign while driving on state Route 172 in Hanover Township at 10:05 p.m. Thursday. McCombs left the scene but later went to the highway patrol barracks.

Frederick A. Schlueter, 17, Sevakeen Circle, Salem, was cited for failure to control after he went off the road and struck a tree while driving on Buck Road in Knox Township at 7:10 a.m. Friday. Schlueter and his passengers were gone by the time a trooper arrived.

Douglas A. Bandy, 42, state Route 170, East Palestine, struck a deer while driving on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 23.

Robert J. Vincent, 36, Crews Road, Wellsville, struck a deer while driving on Cameron Road in Madison Township at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 21.

Amber S. Biser, 17, Bye Road, East Palestine, struck a deer while driving on County Road 420 in Fairfield Township at 9:35 p.m. Sept. 23.

Timothy K. Blakmon, 25, Salem Church Road, Homeworth, reported at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 13, he had been stopped at a stop sign on Center Road in Knox Township and was rear-ended by someone driving a silver Jeep, which then fled the scene eastbound. No evidence of the crash was found at the scene.

Mark A. Cosma, 54, Homeworth Road, Alliance, and Karen S. Brandonisio, 59, Homeworth Road, Alliance, were both driving northbound on Homeworth Road at 9:54 a.m. Sept. 15, when Cosma slowed to turn into a driveway and reportedly was struck from behind by Brandonisio. Brandonisio was cited with assured clear distance and OVI. She was taken by Cosma's wife, Susan Cosma, to the Alliance Community Hospital to be checked for possible injuries.

Breanne N. Little, 25, state Route 558, Leetonia, was southbound on Lisbon Road in Salem Township at 3:46 a.m. Sept. 4, when she reportedly failed to negotiate a curve to the left. Little drove off the right side of the road, struck a mailbox, two utility poles and a parked car. Her vehicle then overturned. Little reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken from the vehicle by her husband, Adam Little, who was reportedly following her. Little was cited with OVI, failure to control and a seat belt violation.
