LAKELAND, Fla. - Harriet H. Seiferth, 86, of Lake Hunter Drive, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the Florida Presbyterian Home in Lakeland following a lengthy illness.
Born March 17, 1926 at Pittsburgh, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Byron J. and Elizabeth Shelton Porter. Mrs. Seiferth had lived for the last 36 years in Florida moving there from East Liverpool in 1975. She was retired as a manager of rental property in Florida. When she lived in Ohio she was a licensed Real Estate Agent working with her husband.
An expert seamstress, she also enjoyed crafts and loved to paint.

She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland. While living in East Liverpool, she belonged to the St. John Lutheran Church.
Her husband of 66 years, Edward H. Seiferth, whom she married June 8, 1946, passed away Sept. 21, 2012. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Orr and her husband, Phil Sutton of Nederland, Colo.; and one son, Scott Seiferth of Lakeland.
There is one granddaughter, Leah Knapp and her husband, Spencer of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Ruth Denk of Castlerock, Colo., and EmmyLou Conley of Mars, Pa.
Mrs. Seiferth was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen E. Seiferth, who was killed in Viet Nam in 1968 during the war; one sister, Mildred Graney; and one brother Byron J. Porter.
Friends may visit the family from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home. The Rev. Eric Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
