WELLSVILLE - John "Jack" Rowan Reed, 81, of Wellsville, died Sept. 22, 2012, at Tomball Kindred Hospital in Tomball, Texas.
He was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Alliance, the son of the late Harry and Leona Faye (Donaldson) Reed.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma (Kelly) Reed.

He retired as a potter in the slip house for Ferro Corp. He was a member of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two daughters, Marla Reed of Cleveland and Leona Reed of Wellsville; one son, John Reed, Houston, Texas; one stepson, James Groves of Wellsville; one brother, King Reed of Lisbon; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service is noon Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Roberts Funeral Home, Wellsville.
