A woman reported at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday a man and woman were fighting hitting one another outside of a black SUV at the fairground entrance and had taken items from inside the vehicle and thrown them on the ground.
A Smith Oil clerk reported at 7:33 p.m. Wednesday a man in a black Ranger pumped $30 worth of gas and left without paying.
A West Chestnut Street man reported at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday the ex-boyfriend of a woman living with him came to the house and assaulted her and took off in a green Ford truck.
A woman reported at 12:14 a.m. Thursday a man who has no driver's license took her vehicle from Salem. The woman said the vehicle is uninsured and that the man was now at the Night Court Bar and requested police accompany her to the bar to get the vehicle back.
A man reported at 9 a.m. Thursday he took his mother to the doctor's office on Exchange Street and pulled into a handicap parking area on the street and noticed that someone was doing a roofing job there and when he got out of his car he saw several nails all over the road. The man told police he was taking his vehicle to J&J Tires to make sure there were no nails in them. Police notified the street department who went down to clean the street.
A woman reported at 12:37 p.m. Thursday that while driving on Jerome Street near Jefferson Street another vehicle hit the rim of her tire causing it to bend.
A man reported at 1:23 p.m. Thursday there was an accident in an alley. He said two vehicles were approaching one another in the alley when they hit.
