East Liverpool Police Reports 9-21

September 21, 2012
The Review

Brian M. Stowers, 25, Canton Street, was charged Tuesday with assault after Amy Crummitt, 38, Lisbon Street, reported she was getting out of a friend's car when she was struck in the head and jaw by what appeared to be a large mug thrown from a vehicle. She and her friend gave chase into the East End, notifying city police, who in turn notified Midland, Pa. police when the other car traveled into that city. It was stopped, and Stowers was found to be a passenger, according to reports. Crummitt was treated at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Police were called for a man yelling for help in the middle of the street and arrived on Broadway to find a man matching the description who said everything was fine. They said he was having trouble understanding what was being said and was talking to non-existent people, also going from being calm to having crying bouts. Tri-County ambulance transported the man to the hospital for evaluation.

Delmar Baumgarner Jr., Azalea Avenue, was cited Sunday for improper backing after he reportedly backed his pickup truck into a parked car owned by Ryan A. Lumbert, Avondale Street, while he was attempting to back from a parking space on Dresden Avenue.
