The Review

TOPS 1341

EAST LIVERPOOL - TOPS Ohio 1341 met Sept. 17 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church.

Leader Nancy Kelly led the club in the pledges and Dorothy Garn read a poem about nature's beautiful sights and sounds which was written by Kelly.

Cheryl Price was welcomed as a new member. Jean Dinch was best loser and Darlene Naukam the runner up. Losing three weeks in a row was Kitti Phillips. Betty James was three times in the losers book. James won the check contest for TOPS and two names remain on the KOPS. Recognized for attendance were Joan Burlingame for eight weeks and Sally Nicholson for 48 and she received $10. Travel box No. 1 was held by James and Jane Proctor holds box No. 2.

The Catch a Falling Star contest ended with Margaret Higgins winning the big stars and James winning the little stars. They each received a gift card. An auction was held as a fund raiser.

The meeting was closed with the Lord's Prayer.

Ethel Chambers Service Group

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Ethel Chambers Service Group met at the Highland Apartments. Jane McDaniel and Carol Dawson were hostesses.

Leah Bosco had the devotions. Articles were read by Virginia Elsman, Carrol Frederick and Flo Calhoun.

All members gave a scripture reference using the word "teacher".

The Bible study was "Agur and Lemuel" from Proverbs 30.

The program closed with sentence prayers.

The next meeting will be at Adrian's Restaurant and the group will be celebrating their 80th anniversary.

TOPS?0115

NEWELL - TOPS No. 0115, Newell met on Sept. 18 at the Newell American Legion, with nine members weighing in. Leader Arlene Cool called the meeting to order with the TOPS and KOPS pledge. Co-Leader Jean Carpenter had the roll call and assistant weight recorder ,Shirley Grimes gave the weight report. Weekly quarters were won by Mary Lou Kincaid and the dimes were won by Arlene Cool. One of our members brought a visitor with her. The program was a group discussion on how to lose weight.

Fall Rally will be Oct. 20. The No No Food for the week will be no fast foods. The club meets every Tuesday at the Newell American Legion with weigh in starting at 4:30 p.m. and the meeting starting at 5 p.m. For more information call Arlene at 304-564-7071 or Jean at 724-573-9362.
