Dear Editor:
Fact No. 1: We can't sell beer or tobacco in areas near schools. It's logical to oppose gun sales near schools also.
Fact No. 2: No one would ever try to prevent hunters from getting ammo - it's more than likely the amount. Case in point, the lunatic in Colorado who got huge amounts of ammo via the internet.
Fact No. 3: The president can never reach a treaty with the U.N. or anyone without Congress approval.
Fact No. 4: Your most staunch ally on the Supreme Court, Justice Scalia, recently said on TV that the second amendment could be successfully argued before the Supreme Court. That right has never been updated. Going back to original intent, you are entitled to a flint lock pistol, rifle and shotgun, that's it. The founders never envisioned semi or auto weapons.
Fact No. 5: No one is trying to ban hunting. I've never ever heard that one before. And it would never happen.
Fact No. 6: The Bush administration is the one that did the selling of guns to drug cartels in Mexico. As soon as Obama knew of this, he put a stop to it. Darrell Issa also knows this fact, yet he keeps trying to link Obama to this. Nice try!
Here's the way most people see the gun laws in this country. If you can't protect yourself, family and property with a handgun, rifle or shotgun, you shouldn't own a gun. You're a menace to yourself and to society.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you have a thermal nuclear bomb somewhere, you're never going to stop the feds!
