EAST LIVERPOOL-Julia A. "Julie" Smith, 51 of East Liverpool, Ohio passed on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on February 7, 1961 and was a daughter of the late John T. and Jeannette (Cottrill) Smith, Sr.
Living her entire life in this area, she was a 1979 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 1983 graduate of Waynesburg University. Julia had worked as an accountant for Cowan Masonry.
She is survived by her partner of 21 years: Debra Smith at home; one brother: Dr. John T. Smith, Jr. and his wife Donna of Phoenixville, Pa; one sister: Jeanne S. Capraruolo and her husband John of East Liverpool, Ohio; nieces and nephews: Lauren Scherling and her husband Eric of Radnor, Pa., Melissa Clay and he husband Matthew of Lorain, Ohio, John Capraruolo, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Studio City, Calif.; three great nephews: Michael, Nathan and Jonathan and one great niece: Abigail.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Sturm officiating.
Inurnment will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
The family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Angels for Animals or the Columbiana County Humane Society.
