Called Saturday night to Minerva Street for loud music, drinking and fighting, officers advised a crowd to disperse but reported Donald L. McKenzie, 24, Saint John Street, was staggering, yelling and told officers more than once to arrest him when told to leave. He was charged with disorderly conduct and later released to a sober relative.
Officers were called Friday night for a fight on Trentvale Street and saw a car leaving with a man hiding in the back seat. They stopped the car and reportedly found Paul Joy, no age or address, with no shirt. Joy told officers he had been arguing with the neighbors about them threatening to damage his mother's car. The driver of the car, Jennifer L. Eastmond, 35, Smithfield Street, was cited for expired operator's license. Alecia O'Hanlon, age and address not listed, told officers Joy had kicked the door of her van. All parties were advised to stay away from one another.
Scott A. Helton, 41, St. Clair Avenue, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after officers were called to remove him from the St. Clair Avenue residence.
Janea N. Armstrong, Ohio Avenue, reported a man she knows keeps driving by her residence, harassing her.
Paula Parks, Wilbert Avenue, reported she was walking to her apartment when she was attacked from behind by two people she knows, who knocked her down the hill. Officers reported she had grass on her clothing and hair, her shirt was ripped and her apartment key and shoe were missing. They spoke to two people who denied knowing anything.
While on patrol on Wedgewood Street, an officer reported seeing someone dressed in dark clothing with a hoodie pulled up, running between houses, but the person could not be located.
A Dairy Queen employee reported a woman who appeared intoxicated was standing outside and the store was about to close. Officers found the woman sitting on the pavement, but she was not intoxicated, just tired. She was given a ride home to Wellsville.
A bartender at New Dimension on Anderson Boulevard reported receiving a counterfeit $50 bill from a customer who got nothing in return for the money. The customer could not be located by officers.
Officers were called to Fawcett Apartments for a resident running around the apartment complex with a large knife. They contacted Columbiana-Metropolitan Housing Authority director Tom Snow who said the man could keep the knife as long as he didn't bring it out in public.
Virginia F. Tsesmilles, 90, East Fourth Street, reported her daughter came to her home to help with her bills and began clawing her. Tsesmilles had abrasions to both arms and was transported to the hospital by Lifeteam ambulance. Her daughter had fled and could not be located.
Nedra J. Butcher reported a wooden gate kicked in at Tri-State Christian Church, Northside Avenue.
While on patrol on State Street, officers saw a man staggering in the roadway and reported Jacob Lowther, 19, smelled of alcohol. He was charged with public intoxication and prohibitions. During a search, he was reportedly found to have a small glass jar containing green vegetable matter, with a marijuana pipe and rolling papers in his pocket. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers were called to a disturbance on Monaca Street, where they were advised by Ricci L. Brown she and her infant daughter were outside when a neighbor's pit bull began running at them. Her fiance pulled the baby inside the house and the dog's owner, Ed Swanson, reportedly came out screaming at Brown, telling her the dog would not hurt them. He told officers the same thing, according to officers, who advised Brown how to file charges. Later, officers saw Swanson's dogs walking up the street and indicated he will be served a warrant for dogs running at large.
John R. Chan, 30, address not listed, was charged possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business, driving under suspension, improper passing and a traffic device violation after officers reported he passed them on St. Clair Avenue at a high rate of speed in a no passing zone. Officers were in an unmarked patrol vehicle at the time. He then reportedly failed to stop for a red light and when stopped, refused to show his hand, also trying to hide something underneath a blanket.They reported finding a crack pipe and said Chan had his two young daughters in the car with him at the time.
John P. McIntosh, Fox Chase, reported learning his ex-girlfriend had used his Social Security number and other information to obtain services at Vine Street after he tried to have cable service transferred to his new address.
Stephenie J. Clasen, Wilbert Avenue, reported her ex-husband tore up the house, flipping over the kitchen table. She later found one of her tires flattened.
Elizabeth A. Yuker, Seward Street, reported a window broken out of her vehicle.
Jeff Geiss reported someone entered the former 7th Street Video building by pushing in plywood covering a window and took scrap copper.
Charles R. Hicks, Orchard Grove, reported his home entered through a kitchen window and a laptop computer and wedding band taken.
Called to Smithfield Street for a domestic dispute, officers said they found a man getting his personal belongings and moving out but no domestic dispute. The man told officers his girlfriend works as a stripper and had failed to come home the previous night, which resulted in an argument.
Clara P. Johnston, St. Clair Avenue, reported she left her home for 45 minutes and returned to find the back door open and her purse missing.
While sitting in her car, Lindsey Cline reported her boyfriend yelled at her, reached in and took the keys and her cell phone.
Ashley Slappy, 25, Wilbert Avenue, reported two women beat on her after an argument. Police said those involved gave conflicting stories and were advised how to file charges. They found Jennifer L. Boyle, 18, had an active warrant and took her to the station, where she paid her bond and was released.
Lori A. Reese, Hazel Street, reported her nephew took her cell phone, and she was advised the procedure for filing charges.
Alecia M. O'Hanlon, 26, Trentvale Street, was cited for loud music Thursday after officers were called to her home twice on one night for a loud party.
