Michele Baker, Richardson Street, Negley, reported she bought a concession stand trailer on Craigslist, sending payments on Sept. 12, 13 and 14 through Ebay Motors and Money Gram. The trailer was to have been shipped from Boise, Idaho to Negley. After the final payment, she was unable to contact the seller, and the ad was pulled from Craigslist, and Baker learned that Ebay Motors and Money Gram are not valid entities.
Susan Paugh, White Road, Lisbon, reported Friday she received a call from a man with a heavy accent who told her she had won $3,500 from Readers Digest and a check would be delivered later that day. She told the man he was "full of it" and hung up, according to reports.
Christine Bloom, Hartley Road, Beloit, reported Thursday a transaction was made on her debit account at a store in Michigan.
Deputies responded to a report of people in a vacant house on state Route 7 but found no one. The house was secure, they reported.
