A report was given on the prayer retreat that was held at the Seeds of Hope farm on Aug. 11. Five women from the church attended.

A video was shown of a baby in the womb and a donation was made to Heartbeat of Columbiana County to purchase more videos for them to distribute.

The Heartbeat of Columbiana County "walk for life" will be held on Oct. 13 at Thompson Park.

Program Chairman, Phyllis Conley, introduced the guest speaker, Lucy Harris. She is a member of the First Methodist Church. Her talk was on honoring gray hair and she gave several Proverb scriptures of younger women needing older women's wisdom. She also had several vocal selections.
