In Columbiana County Municipal Court Tuesday, Chad R. Bandy, 21, South 12th Street, Beloit, was fined $1,400, sentenced to 15 days in jail and had his license suspended for one year for OVI second offense, driving under suspension, assured clear distance and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A Nov. 6 restitution hearing was set for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge which stemmed from Bandy taking a Ford F-350 pickup from Benjamin Caldwell on Friday and crashing it into another vehicle on U.S. Route 62 at the intersection with Knox School Road.
Chad M. Langties, 23, Sawburg Avenue, Alliance, was fined $300 and required 40 hours community service for obstruction of official business and disorderly conduct amended from assault. Additional charges of criminal trespassing and two counts of criminal damaging were dismissed. Langties assaulted Charles Ferrebee on Aug. 12 at his home on East Third Street, Salem, and then walked away refusing to talk to police.
A Nov. 6 pretrial was set for Breanne N. Little, 25, state Route 558, Leetonia, charged with OVI first offense, failure to control and a seat belt violation.
A Nov. 6 pretrial was set for Aaron J. Korbel, 30, Wood Street, Wellsville, charged with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, failure to control and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after a vehicle was reportedly found wrecked into a ditch on Friday.
