According to the report, his mother, Patricia Rodgers, of Y&O Road, Wellsville, reported at 9:51 p.m. her son had stolen her vehicle from her home and was intoxicated. Before arriving at her home, the deputy found the vehicle crashed in the 45000 block of Y&O Road.
Preliminary reports revealed that Rodgers was ejected from the vehicle after it went off the right side of the road as he was driving westbound. The car went off the road near a guardrail and traveled along an embankment and down through a yard, knocking off road signs and strewing parts through the yard before it struck a parked pickup truck and flipped over.
