Alice Louise Hayes, 92

BEAVER, Pa. - Alice Louise Hayes, 92 of Midland, formerly of East Liverpool, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born in Smithfield, Ohio, February 19, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Rhoda Harris Jordan. A lifetime resident of this area, she worked as a teacher's aide at East Liverpool's Westgate Middle School.

A member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, she was a Bible school and Sunday school teacher, past treasurer of the Sunday school and the church, a teacher for Missionary and led the Teacher's Meeting.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Charles Jeffrey "Bump" Hayes, a daughter, Deborah White, as well as four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her loving grandchildren, Amber Hayes, Mishka Hannon and her husband, Desmond, and Ashley McDonald, all of Midland and Darryl Maynor of New Jersey. There are five great-grandchildren, Alexis Hayes, Cameron McDonald, Khylee Hannon, Darryl Jamir "DJ" Watson and Asjanae Maynor. There is one great-great-grandchild, A'nijah McCauley. In addition, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sandy Sneed Hayes of Atlanta, a son-in-law Robert White of Midland and a special niece Shirley Hayes of East Liverpool, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank her granddaughter Ashley McDonald and nephew Stephen Hayes for their dedication and love to Mrs. Hayes during her life.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Rolland L. Owens, Sr. will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

The Dawson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
