SALINEVILLE - June Rosella Williams, 83, of Salineville, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at St. Mary's Alzheimers Center.
She was born Jan. 28, 1929, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Homer and Hazel (Thomas) Grodhaus.
June was a hex tile placer for Ferro Porcelain. Before working at Ferro, June was a cook at Southern Local High School, where she was fondly referred to as "Cookie." June loved to crochet and cook for her family. She attended Highlandtown United Methodist Church.
June was preceded in death on March 29, 2004, by her husband, William V. Williams, whom she married March 15, 1954.
Survivors include two daughters: Cindy Leemaster and her husband David of Wellsville, and Judy Welch and her husband Jim of Salineville; one son: William V. Williams Jr. and his wife Pam of Toronto; three sisters: Shirley Plunkett of Wellsville, Elsie Lyle and her husband Joe of Wellsville, and Sally Duck and her husband Glenn of Wellsville; and one brother: Bill Grodhaus and his wife Cathy of Wellsville. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Carrie and Brooke; three grandsons: Billy, Jimmy, and Michael; one great-granddaughter Haley; and one great-grandson: Colton.
In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Leemaster and her brother Richard Grodhaus.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Maylone of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville.
