SALINEVILLE - Officers have been busy working cases since the police department reorganized in April, Chief Terry McElroy said.

He said he and two officers have been investigating drug activity and break-ins, but have not released names because doing so would compromise ongoing investigations, he said.

McElroy offered information on the status of several cases, from break-ins to felony drug cases.

Break ins at NAPA and Railroad Auto spa, cases waiting on Grand Jury.

Burglary on West Street, case solved and waiting on Grand Jury; person charged passed away.

Four drug trafficking cases are pending, with 10 arrest warrants.

Seven felony drug possession cases are pending, waiting on Grand Jury.

Six miscellaneous drug cases are solved, with six convictions and two pending.

Break ins at Kiwanis Park and Kaiser, with air conditioning units stolen are solved, with charges pending.
