Mary Jane Murphy
BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. -Mrs. Mary Jane Thornhill Murphy, age 60, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Marlboro Park Hospital in Bennettsville, SC after a lengthy illness.
Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Thornhill, Sr. and Beatrice Anita Clark Thornhill. She was a homemaker and a former member of the West Point Church Of The Nazarene (West Point, Ohio).
She is survived by her husband, George Wesley Murphy, Sr. of Bennettsville; a son, George Wesley Murphy, Jr. of Yorktown, Va.; a daughter, Melissa Hudson of McColl; brothers, William Henry "Bill" Thornhill, Jr., Gary Lee Thornhill, Timothy Thornhill and Mark Thornhill all of Lisbon, Ohio; also 3 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Antioch United Methodist Church in Bennettsville. The Rev. Wade Everett will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
Rogers Funeral Home of McColl, SC is in charge of arrangements.
