Christina House announces winner
LISBON - The Christina House Domestic Violence Program is announcing the winners in its recent fund raising raffle. Winner of the Ribbon of Hope Quilt is Peggy Callen of Youngstown, Ohio. Winner of the Victorian Doll House is Mellie Espino, also of Youngstown. The donated quilt was pieced by Mary Miller and quilted by Pat Firestone of Salem. The doll house was made and donated by Patricia Durham.
The Christina House wishes to thank everyone who bought tickets to support the Columbiana County shelter. Shelter and auxiliary services are offered to victims of domestic violence and their children to help victims lead safe, satisfying lives free from abuse. Call 330-420-0036 for help and referral. In recognition of "Domestic Violence Awareness Month," in October, the Christina House is asking you to "Save the Date" and join us at a breakfast and balloon launch at 8 a.m. Oct. 4, at Saint George Parish Hall, 278 West High Street in Lisbon. Special guest speaker will be Kelly Gray from the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Her topic will be on effective advocacy for victims. CEUs are pending.
