Highway Patrol Reports 9-6

The Review

Kelsie Lin Pierson, 16, Mountz Road, Salem, was northbound on County Home Road in Center Township at 4 p.m. Friday and went off the right side and into a water-filled ditch. She was cited for failure to control.

Matthew R. Morrell, 25, Dogwood Circle, New Waterford, was westbound on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and slid off the south edge of the road and struck a utility pole. He was cited for failure to control.

Joaquin O. Acosta, 18, Osbourne Road, Wellsville, was southbound on state Route 45 in Salem at 7 a.m. Saturday and went off the east side of the road and struck a ditch, overturned and struck a utility pole, breaking the pole and pulling down an adjacent pole and phone lines. He was cited for failure to control.

Anthony D. Reed, 32, Smith Road, Summitville, was southbound on state Route 644 in Franklin Township at 1 a.m. Saturday and hit a deer.

John C. Loy, 46, Cameron Road, Wellsville, was southbound on state Route 518 in Wayne Township at 2 a.m. Friday and hit a cow.

Nathan M. Gascon, 30, East Lincoln Way, Minerva, was northbound on a motorcycle on Mechanicstown Road in Hanover Township at 6:14 p.m. Thursday and went off the right side and struck an embankment. He was taken to Aultman Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Citations are pending. He was wearing a helmet.

Timothy P. Owen, 61, Clewell Drive, Lisbon, and Nickolas R. Wilson, 24, West Main Street, East Palestine, were eastbound on state Route 14 in Fairfield Township at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday when traffic slowed and Owen slowed but Wilson was unable to stop and struck Owen's vehicle. Wilson was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
