Emily Yanni, 84
EAST LIVERPOOL-Emily Yanni, 84 of East Liverpool passed peacefully on Saturday Sept. 1, 2012 at the Calcutta Health Care Center with the greatest accomplishment in her life, her twins Rick and Rob at her side.
Emily had many passions in this life, the most important of which was being with family and cooking wonderful meals for them.

She was born in Midland on October 6, 1927 to the late John and Maria Liberatore.
In 1946, Emily met and fell in love with the love of her life, Louis C. Yanni, who preceded her on July 14, 2004, at a social gathering in Midland. Together they were the proud parents of twins Rick (Jean) and Rob Yanni, both of East Liverpool.
Before retiring Emily worked as a cook and waitress at several of her family's restaurant businesses in East Liverpool. Earlier she had worked alongside her husband at his clothing store, the former Louis and James Clothing store on Mulberry Street in East Liverpool.
A member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius, she was a graduate of the former Midland High School. Emily had many passions that made life such a joy, including playing cards, especially with family, reading, shopping, cooking, and family trips to the Jersey Shore.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Liberatore, and three sisters, Elizabeth Antonelli, Elvira Liberatore, and Evelyn D'Angelo.
In addition to her twins, other survivors include one brother, Gilbert Liberatore of Midland, brother in law, Ray Yanni, two sisters in laws, Rose (Roy) Allen, and Joann Prince, all of East Liverpool, and several close nieces and nephews.
Father Peter Haladej will preside for a liturgy of the word service on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment services will follow at the chapel in the Riverview Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
