After being involved in a minor traffic crash, Douglas Fitch, age and address not reported, was found to be driving under suspension and was patted down. The officer reported finding $1,382 cash in Fitch's possession and asked where he worked. Fitch reportedly said he doesn't work, is a student and his father just died, leaving him $90,000. A K-9 unit was called and reportedly alerted on the door panel of the car, although no drugs were located inside, but the officer reported clips that hold the door panel in place were missing. A baggie and "blunt" were reportedly found on the driver's floor of the vehicle. The money was seized due to the officer suspecting drug activity.
Employees of the Pennsylvania Avenue Dollar General reported the bank called to say a counterfeit $10 bill was found in one of the store's deposits.
