NEW MANCHESTER - Paul Edwin Collins, 83, of New Manchester died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at his home. He was born March 30, 1929, in Weston, a son of the late Otis and Ruth Collins.

Paul retired from the mason gang at Weirton Steel after 32 years and was a member of Weirton Steel's 25-year club. He and his wife were owners of Fannie's Club in Chester for 19 years.

He is survived at home by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Collins. Also surviving are his children Becky (Terry) Williams, Brenda Keller, both of New Manchester; Steve (Jane) Collins of Thomaston, Ga., Teresa Higgins, Jonathon (Tammy) Collins and Preston (Joyce) Collins, all of New Manchester. He is also survived by his sister Ruby Burkhammer of Weston.

Mr. Collins is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Eugene Collins.

Visitation will be held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at which time the service will begin with Pastor Bob Macek, of Nessly Chapel Methodist Church, officiating. A private burial held Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
