In Municipal Court Friday, Sonya Joy, 43, Walnut Street, was fined $200 for illegal distribution of tobacco products.
According to court records, Joy was working at the UniMart on Dresden Avenue when the Ohio Department of Public Safety sent a 16-year-old confidential informant in to purchase cigarettes.
The ODPS arrested Joy after she reportedly sold the CI the cigarettes without asking for the proper identification and proof of age.
Michael F. Andreas, 18, Clarkson Road, Rogers, was fined $65 for improper lane change.
A second pretrial was set Sept. 27 for Tammy L. Reddinger, aka Johnson, McGavern Road, Salineville, charged with obstructing official business.
Pretrial was scheduled Sept. 20 for Bernard L. Jenkins, 60, Warren Avenue, for a fourth speeding offense and no seat belt. According to records, this is Jenkins' 32nd traffic offense.
