WELLSVILLE - Charles R. Andrews, 76, of Wellsville, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Kindred Hospital, in Beaver.
He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in Hammondsville, a son of the late Floyd and Mildred E. (Spriggs) Andrews. Chuck was raised by his mother and stepfather, Birchie D. Miller.
He attended Wellsville High School and retired from the Dravo Sand and Gravel Corporation. Chuck also worked as a toll collector on the Newell Bridge.

Survivors include his wife, Sue (McBane) Andrews, whom he married April 27, 1957; two daughters: Tanna Teann Newlan and her husband Steve of Wellsville and Nyleptha Lee Mattern and her husband Michael of Wellsville; and two brothers: Rodger Miller and his wife Diane of Wellsville and James "Sparky" Miller and his wife Barbara of Wellsville; Also surviving are three grandchildren: Hunter, Jessica and Dominic Andrew.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Birchie D. Miller, who raised him; three sisters: Jackie Smith, Edith Hanna and Betty Eckles; and one brother, Floyd Andrews.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St., Wellsville, with Pastor Kenneth Maylone of the Central United Methodist Church and Pastor Dirk Hall of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville.
