EAST LIVERPOOL - Michael R. Morse died suddenly Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, while at work in Moundsville, W.Va. He was 52.
Born in Tampa, Fla., on Jan. 22, 1960, he was a son of Willard O. "Bill" Morse of Alger, Mich., and the late Shirley Ann Sauls Morse. He lived most of his life in Michigan where he enjoyed the outdoors. An avid deer hunter, he was a lifetime member of the Oakland County Sportsman's Club. A sports fan, he especially was faithful to the Detroit Lions and the Red Wings.
He recently moved to the East Liverpool area and since December of 2011 worked as a guard at the Northern Correctional Facility in Moundsville, W.Va. Previously he worked as a guard at the Oakland County Sheriff's Department in Michigan for 26 years until retiring in 2010.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his fiance, Robbin R. Blewitt, at home. There are three daughters, Courtney Morse and Jessica Herbst both of Michigan and Ashley Blewitt at home. There are three grandchildren, Skylar, Brooke and Jamison.
Other survivors include two sisters, Terri Boisvert, and her husband Mike, and Cheryl Benson, all of Michigan; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from noon to 6 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer will conduct a funeral service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
