In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Thursday Curtis J. Kidd, 29, Smith Goshen Road, Beloit, was fined $150 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for theft for taking a Sulcata tortoise valued at $130 from Pure Pet in Salem.
An Aug. 30 pretrial was set for Jamie J. Rambo, 24, Pleasantview Drive charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having several hundred feet of copper wire from poles in the Wayne Bridge Road area. The wire, which belongs to AT and T was sold at HMF Recycling in Lisbon on June 5.
Douglas Gill, 31, Duke Road, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 in jail for criminal trespassing after he was found in the Y and O Junk Yard removing metal sheeting.
John A. Podowski, South Port, N.C., was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from failure to control.
Jessica A. Netzel, 31, High Street, Washingtonville, was fined $80 and required 10 hours of community service for driving under suspension and a stop sign violation.
A Sept. 11 pretrial was set for John R. Fry, Enon Valley, Pa. charged with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
