Leroy G. Palmer, 82
NEW WATERFORD-Leroy G. Palmer, 82, formerly of New Waterford, died at 12:25 pm Friday, August 3, 2012 at Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Palmer was born June 3, 1930 in New Brighton, Pa., son of Lawrence and Ruth Williams Palmer and had lived in this area most of his life.

Leroy was a baker for the Keystone Bakery in West Bridgewater, Pa., and had also worked for the former Ward Bus Company in Darlington, Pa. Leroy served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by two daughters, Traci (Ron) Householder of East Palestine and Michelle Quarterman of East Liverpool; a son, Leroy M. (Marilyn) Palmer of New Castle, PA; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Burial took place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pa.
A Celebration of Live Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2012, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa., with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating.
Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, Ohio handled the arrangements.
