ORANGE PARK, Fla. - Dona Jean Mott, 76, passed away on July 25, 2012, at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla.
She was born in Chester on Nov. 15, 1935, and was a daughter of the late William and Gaynell Haught Shroades.
Dona attended Chester schools, had worked as a Stamp machine operator at the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor and Harker Potteries, and was a protestant by faith.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband George A. Mott.
Dona is survived by her two sons, Greg (Joni) Mott and Gary (Patricia) Mott, both of Chester; one daughter Dawn (Dave) Cecil of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her brother Stanley Shroades of West Minster, Md.; and three sisters, Sandy (Bill) Hawthorne, of Chester, Linda (Frank) Vitle of Hudson, Fla., and Debbie (Jim) Durham of Chester.
The family will be present to receive friends tonight (Sunday evening) from 6-8 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where funeral services will be held Monday mourning at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
