In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Monday, Jonny M. Ferguson Boykins, 29, Columbus, was sentenced to five years intensive probation for two counts of drug trafficking. He was further ordered to make restitution of $1,800 to the drug task force. His license was suspended for two years.
According to court documents, in January 2007 Boykins sold four grams of crack cocaine for $300 and February 2008 he sold 13.3 grams of crack cocaine for $1,500.
Sterling A. Kennedy, 36, Youngstown, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of possesion of drugs. Kennedy faces up to six years in prison, a 10-year license forfeiture and a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 7. Court documents claim Kennedy had 18 grams of crack cocaine when a search warrant was executed on Rigby Street in East Liverpool on Sept. 17, 2010.
Additionally, Kennedy had between 50 unit doses and 100 unit doses in the home on the same date.
Michelle M. Byers, 33, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, pleaded guilty Wednesday to illegal conveyance of a drug of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility. She faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 21. According to court documents Byers brought cocaine concealed inside a body cavity in a baggie onto the property of the Columbiana County Jail when she was being booked on outstanding warrants on Nov. 18, 2010.
Carolyn A. Anderson, 45, Warren, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to trafficking in drugs. According to court documents, she sold 86 tablets of 80 milligrams of Oxycodone tablets to a confidential informant in exchange for $2,100. She faces between two and eight years in prison, a fine of at least $7,500 and a six-month license suspension. Sentencing is set for Oct. 19.
Dena Bolin, 29, Water Street, Salineville, pleaded guilty Tuesday to both breaking and entering and theft. She faces up to two and a half years and a $7,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 7. Court documents state last Sept. 29, Bolin and others broke into the secured garage of Roland Riggle, West Water Street, Salineville, with the purpose of stealing various tools and a forklift from his garage.
