Not my choice

July 22, 2012
The Review

Dear Editor:

The Obama administration continues to benefit our area. Not only did Lordstown's countless jobs get saved by the auto industry bailout, thanks to the Obama administration, but now Salineville will get its first full time health care center in a decade.

The center will be funded by the Affordable Care Act. This will be the fifth federally funded health center that the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County has opened. If the health care act is repealed the clinic would be in jeopardy.

Obama continues to improve the standard of living in our region, unfortunately his opponent will not be as kind. Romney doesn't understand the needs of our region, he can't relate to working-class people and has no reason to be in the White House. His wife may drive a couple of cadillac, according to him (Feb. 2012), but under a Romney administration, few if any in Columbiana County would be able to drive one.

When I think of Mitt, I think of these quotes ... "I should tell my story. I'm also unemployed." -Mitt Romney, speaking in 2011, to unemployed people in Florida. Romney's net worth is more than $200 million. "I get speaker's fees from time to time, but not very much." -Mitt Romney, who earned $374,000 in speaking fees in one year, according to his personal financial disclosure (Jan. 2012) "PETA is not happy that my dog likes fresh air." -Mitt Romney in 2007, responding to criticism from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals following revelations that he had once put the family dog in a carrier and strapped it to the roof of his car during a 12-hour road trip.

Not my choice for President.
