In Columbiana County Municipal Court Tuesday, the man whose home deputies searched with a warrant and recovered firearms last week signed a waved his right to a preliminary hearing.
Michael E. Smith, 30, state Route 154, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on a receiving stolen property charge. Smith is accused of possession of the numerous weapons recovered at his home, which were taken in a burglary on McCracken Road on June 25.
According to court documents, the weapons were valued at more than $20,000. The charge is a fourth degree felony.
Additionally, a pretrial was set for Sept. 10 for Smith, who is cited with driving in violation of a driving restriction.
A July 26 preliminary hearing was set for Megan E. Cameron, 26, Pinewood Drive, New Waterford, charged with two counts of assault. According to court documents, on June 17 Cameron allegedly bit two EMS personnel in New Waterford, who were attempting to transport her to Salem Community Hospital by orders of the police due to her making suicidal threats. Additionally, Cameron reportedly spit on and pinched at least one of the EMS employees.
Todd M. Divita, 39, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $1,025, had his license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI first offense, assured clear distance, reckless operation and drug paraphernalia for two glass crack pipes in his front pocket and in his vehicle on Jan. 28.
Steven C. Isenhart, 29, West State Street, Salem, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, stemming from him grabbing by the throat a woman living with him for the past eight months and shoving her to the ground on June 7.
Barry A. Cooper, 56, West Taggart Street, East Palestine, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.
Roger L.S. Miller, 22, Park Avenue, New Waterford, was fined $80 for driving with a driving restriction and seat belt violation.
David B. Kreps, 35, Bergholz Road, Bergholz, was fined $80 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and a registration violation.
Randy A. Sprouse, 39, Millrock Road, Rogers, was fined $50 and required 20 hours community service for failure to reinstate his license.
William G. Stevens, 49, Canfield, was fined $50 for unsafe vehicle amended from failure to move left for a safety vehicle.
Brooke H. Shafer, 18, Jennings Avenue, Salem, was fined $50 for no license.
An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Billy R. Bahler, 30, Knox School Road, Alliance, cited with speeding.
An Aug. 21 pretrial was set for Lilian Frantz, 50, Streetsboro, cited with speeding.
An Aug. 23 pretrial was set for Corey D. Cope, 21, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with disorderly conduct after reportedly refusing to obey the orders of police who were investigating a custody dispute which did not involve him.
A July 26 pretrial was set for Julie M. Poling, Van Buren Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly scratching her husband of 30 years on the left side of the forehead and face on Monday.
A Sept. 17 pretrial was set for George A. Burkey, 43, North Jefferson Street, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.
A Sept. 20 pretrial was set for Donald Fletcher, 48, Homeworth Road, Homeworth, charged with driving under suspension and assured clear distance.
An Aug. 13 pretrial was set for Marie E. Sundeberg, 35, Sharon, Pa., and Ronald R. Burkholder, 31, Salem Unity Road, Salem, each charged with theft for allegedly concealing $690 in merchandise at Salem WalMart and attempting to leave the store on Saturday.
An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Susan L. Arthur, 56, Taylor Road, Negley, charged with OVI first offense and failure to control.
An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Wayne A. Gorby, 33, Vale Road, Rogers, cited with wrongful entrustment.
An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Ruth E. Beresford, 68, Second Street, Hanoverton, cited with permitting a dog to run at large.
An Aug. 21 pretrial was set for John A. Innella II, 33, East Fifth Street, Salem, cited with no license and no helmet.
An Aug. 21 pretrial was set for Shawn A. Burkey, 25, Deerfield, charged with driving under FRA suspension.
An Aug. 27 court trial was set for Barry S. Rummel, 48, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence after allegedly breaking out the back door window, telling his girlfriend she made a big mistake calling 911 and threatening her life.
