Richard L. "Dick" Porter, 65
ELYRIA - Richard L. "Dick" Porter 65, of Elyria passed away Wednesday July 11, 2012 at home following a long illness. He was born July 11, 1947 in New Cumberland, W.Va. Dick had served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W., AMVETS, and The American Legion. Dick had lived in Sandusky prior to his return to Elyria. He loved his therapy cats.
Dick is survived by his son; Jeromy Clyde Porter of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clyde M. and Cynthia B. (nee: Powers) Porter. Memorial services will be at noon Saturday, July 21, 2012 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Route 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon. Pastor Jamie Stewart of Stein Hospice in Sandusky will officiate.
