YOUNGSTOWN - Home Savings' new web site (www.homesavings.com), which was developed with assistance from CBOSS and www.nowspeed.com, was recently honored with two 2012 Communicator Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
Home Savings and CBOSS earned prestigious Silver Awards in two website categories: banking/bill paying and financial services.
Nowspeed, an online marketing agency specializing in web solutions, consulted with Home Savings in the preliminary development of the site's redesign and provided guidance with the site's search engine optimization (SEO).
"At first, we just wanted to increase the visibility of certain pages on www.homesavings.com" explained Colleen Scott, vice president of Marketing for Home Savings. "As we got deeper into the SEO, we realized a full site redesign was the best thing to do. Now, a significant amount of our web site traffic is driven by Google, Yahoo and the other major search engines."
CBOSS, as the web site's host and service provider, was instrumental in the programming and development of the site, following guidance from Home Savings.
"Good web site design and user-friendliness helps create brand trust," adds James DeRosa, CBOSS production manager for the Home Savings project. "This trust can convert site visitors into buyers of a company's products and services."
"We were so pleased to learn we received these honors. CBOSS submitted our site's award entries on our behalf, and we're happy to share the recognition." There were 6,000 entries for the 2012 Communicator Awards, one of the largest programs that honor excellence in marketing and communications.
Home Savings operates 34 banking offices and seven loan production offices throughout Ohio and western Pennsylvania, employing approximately 550 people.
