IRONDALE - Martha J. Boggs, 78, of Irondale, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
She was born Feb. 20, 1934, in New Cumberland, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Stella (Fisher) Porter.
Martha graduated from New Cumberland High School in 1951 and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death on March 22, 2006, by her husband, Earl W. "Buddy" Boggs, whom she married June 6, 1951.
She is survived by three daughters: Karen Mayo and her husband Frank of Industry, Pa., Vicki Armstrong and her husband Joe of Irondale, and Kimberly Roberts and her husband John of Wellsville; three sons: Earl W. Boggs Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Robert Boggs and his wife Kelly of Bergholtz, and Greg Boggs of Lexington, Ohio; one sister: Betty Rossi of New Cumberland; and one brother: Eugene Porter of New Cumberland. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Ferraro of the New Hope Community Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville.
