Ruth McKinney Mercer LeMasters, 87
EAST LIVERPOOL - Ruth McKinney Mercer LeMasters, 87, of Highland Drive, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Calcutta Health Care Center.
Born in Wilbur, W.Va., Dec. 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Harmon and Hattie McKinney. She lived in the East Liverpool area since 1946, and was a member of the former Penn Avenue United Methodist Church. She later attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Laverne Mercer, who died on July 20, 1997; they were married April 24, 1943. Later she married David G. LeMasters on Jan. 19, 2002. Mr. LeMasters died in 2011. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Irma Jean Darquenne.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Fabriele, and her husband John, of Florida, and two sons, Jeff Mercer, and his wife Jackie, of East Liverpool, and Donald Mercer of East Liverpool.
There are two sisters, Pauline Greaver of West Union, W.Va., and Eva Pearl Pierpoint, and her husband Kenneth, of Tiltonsville, Ohio, along with a brother, Harmon McKinney Jr., and his wife Jenny, of West Virginia.
In addition, she is survived by three grandchildren, Lisa Xayasone, and her husband "Go," Julie Emmerling, and her fiance Dave Hilliard, and Brooke Garza; and seven great-grandchildren, Peyton, Aubrey, Reagan, Ellie, Mya, Sean and Ian.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Anna Lea Maine, and a brother, Denzel McKinney.
Friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2-8 p.m. Pastor Richard Smith of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
A graveside committal service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Wilbur Cemetery, Wilbur, W.Va.
