David Byron, 24
NEW MANCHESTER - David Byron Mickinac, 24 of New Manchester, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh, Pa., from complications related to spina bifida.
He was born July 23, 1987 in Sewickley, Pa.
The son of Daniel L. and Geralynn McCorkle Mickinac of New Manchester, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his brother; Jonathan Dyre, maternal grandfather; Richard A. McCorkle, paternal grandfather; Anthony Mickinac.
David was a Catholic by faith, a member of the New Manchester VFD. He enjoyed being a DJ, and camping at Austin Lake. He attended the Hancock County Opportunity Center and was employed at the Hancock County Sheltered Workshop in the laundry department.
Surviving are his parents; Daniel L. and Geralynn McCorkle Mickinac, brothers; Matthew Mickinac of New Manchester, W.Va., Nathan Keeler of Morgantown, W.Va., and Philip Logan Mickinac of New Manchester, W.Va., maternal grandmother; Catherine T. McCorkle of York, Pa., paternal grandmother; Helen Mickinac of Latrobe, Pa. Visitation will be at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va. on (today) Friday from 4-8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
