Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 6-24

Heather Pittman, Tower Road, Salem, reported at 5:16 p.m. Thursday getting a call from an unknown man who started swearing and threatening her for no apparent reason.

Frank McDonald of Mogadore reported Wednesday his unlocked vehicle was entered while at the Rogers Sale and some tools were stolen.

Jeff Hoperich, Hunters Camp Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:28 p.m. Thursday an ATV was going up and down the road. Deputies arrived but were unable to locate the ATV.

Glenn Orr, Twin Oaks Trailer Park, Lisbon, reported Thursday his truck was broken at his job site, and fishing gear and tools were stolen.

Oliver Richey, Depot Road, Salem, reported at 3:58 p.m. Sunday she found someone had broken the front door of her home. However, she did not notice anything missing at the time.

Corey Reinwald, Charlton Drive, Lisbon, reported at 5:17 p.m. Sunday he and his brother argued and his brother pushed and hit him. Reinwald told his mother he was going to kill his brother. Both brothers signed a refusal to prosecute form.

A domestic dispute was reported on Hibbetts Mill Road, Wellsville, at 3:40 p.m. Sunday. Clara Allgood told deputies her boyfriend had been there and they were arguing over personal property. He had grabbed her by the hair, but she did not want to press charges. Deputies explained how to have personal property disputes handled by the civil court.

Ashley Cyders, Rochester Road, Kensington, reported at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday her fiance received a call from someone identifying himself as an old school friend of hers from Canton. When Cyders picked up the phone and told the man she did not know who he was, he reportedly became angry, told her he knew where she lives and would damage the house.

Alan Fusetti, Peppercorn Drive, East Palestine, reported at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday someone he knows and has a protection order against called his wife at about noon and texted his son at about the same time.

Ed Tsemilles, East Main Street, Salineville, reported at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday he believes his wife has been violating the protection order she filed against him three weeks ago. Over the past week she has been leaving dinner at a relative's house next door to his, and the children then take the food to his house.

Christina Clemmer, Pancake Clarkson Road, Negley, reported at 11:31 a.m. Monday her sons were visiting from Pennsylvania and got into another argument.

Chris Bynog, Roller Coaster Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday sometime between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 2:15 a.m. Wednesday someone smashed his mailbox and knocked it from the post.

Bill Wilson, Cunningham Road, Salem, reported at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday a friend borrowed his vehicle earlier and never returned it. Wilson had spoken to a family member of the friend, who did not know where she had gone. Wilson had also called On-Star about having the vehicle traced, but they would not act without a police report. The company still would not perform the trace unless the vehicle was entered as missing.

Jeff Palmer, Hazel Run Road, Hammondsville, reported at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday a man has been accusing him of stealing a four-wheeler and a motorcycle. Palmer said he has been followed to work and rumors have been spread about him. His wife has also seen the man make rude gestures.

Melissa Wells, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, reported at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday she was assaulted by another woman after Wells told the woman's daughter to go home because the child had pink eye. Deputies spoke to the other woman, who admitted fighting with Wells after Wells pushed her. Deputies left each woman statement papers to fill out about the incident.

Glenn Starcher, Mountz Road, Minerva, reported at 9:47 a.m. Thursday he has planted a large number of trees on his property about six feet from the property line and someone cut down eight to 10 of the trees near the neighbor's house.

Meredith Ormiston, Tower Road, Salem, reported at 2:35 p.m. Thursday a neighbor has been yelling at her two 15-year-old daughters and making an obscene gesture. The same neighbor also reportedly yelled something at her 86-year-old mother, who was coming to her home.

Homer Carnes Jr., state Route 164, Lisbon, reported at 9:14 a.m. Thursday his live-in girlfriend stole a small, lock box containing more than $400 in change.

Venise Hileman, Farr Street, Rogers, reported at 3:07 a.m. Thursday she was walking at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when two men began following her. At 2:30 a.m. Thursday a dark Jeep was in the area actin suspicious.

Petrina Barnes, Walnut Street, Rogers, reported at 1:09 a.m. Thursday there was a suspicious person hanging out near the post office. Deputies saw a young man in the area of the post office at 1:54 a.m. and he headed up the alley when he saw the deputy. However, the 17-year-old came back and turned himself in. Deputies took him to his home and spoke to his mother.

Jason Predergast, Dobson Road, Salineville, was charged with domestic violence after allegedly pushing his wife, Debbie Predergast off the porch causing her to hit her head on a rock at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday.

Gene Polen, Summitville Road, Summitville, reported at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday someone broke into the maintenance building at the Woodland Cemetery in Salineville.

A 2-year-old child was reported at the Salem Community Hospital with first-degree burns on his hands at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday. The child's mother Jennifer Wilkerson reported she had picked up her child from the father's grandparents, who told her he had grabbed a hot light bulb. This was the first day of the father's supervised visitation. A copy of the report will be sent to Children Services.

Michelle Hughes, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, reported at 4:53 p.m. Wednesday a man in a small black pickup pulled into their driveway looking for their son, claiming he had run the man off the road. The man asked if their son drove a white Cavalier and when they told him their son did not, he reportedly cursed and attempted to start a fight before leaving.

Roger Walker, Failer Road, East Palestine, reported at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday a neighbor spoke to him while he was walking his dogs. He also reportedly pulled up beside Walker in his truck and told him he and his son would be waiting on him, before sitting there laughing. Walker believes Little was violating a protection order.

Doug Woolf, Mountz Road, Salem, reported at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday there was a suspicious truck parked at the fruit stand at the corner of state Route 9 and Mountz Road. He believed someone was lying in the field across from the truck. Deputies did not see any truck or person in the area.

Deputies responded Friday night to a report of gunshots on St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Lisbon, but no one was at the residence, nor did they find anything suspicious.

Raymond Ward, West Main Street, Leetoni, was driving through the parking lot of Rogers Community Auction Friday when he said a vehicle driven by Marie C. Zoky, Hubbard, backed from a parking spot and struck his van. Zoky told deputies she was parked and Ward tried to make the turn, striking her car. Both vehicles were damaged, according to reports.

John Mihalko, West South Range Road, Salem, reported Friday his pickup truck was parked at Rogers Community Auction when it was struck and damaged. A note was left on his truck, advising that a gold Buick had backed into it and then left. A license plate number was also left on the note which returned to a Pittsburgh man.

Responding to a report of people inside a vacant house on state Route 172, North Georgetown on Friday night, deputies found the house secure and no one on the property.

Deputies assisted at the scene of an attempted suicide on Saltwell Road in Lisbon Friday night, where Lisbon police and KLG ambulance crews also responded. The man, who had a bleeding cut on his hand, was transported to the hospital.
