Highway Patrol Reports 6-2

The Review

Brian J. Anderson, 33, state Route 39, Salineville, was westbound on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township at 1:15 a.m. Saturday and Michael A. Palmer, 26, Corapolis, Pa., was eastbound when Anderson went left of center and struck his vehicle causing it to go off the left side and hit a guard rail. Anderson was cited for left of center and OVI.

Troopers are looking for a vehicle that was southbound on state Route 39 at 11:50 p.m. Saturday in Hanover Township and went off the west side of the road and struck a fence, drove through a field and struck the fence again and then fled.

Chad Brian Bash, 19, Maple Street, Salem, was southbound on state Route 45 in Salem at 11:50 p.m. Sunday and went off the west side of the road then off the east side, struck a guardrail several times and then went off the west side of the road and struck a guardrail. He was cited for failure to control.

Richard L. McCoy, 62, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, was eastbound on state Route 14 and Nathan Ross Good, 20, Metz Road, Columbiana, was stopped on Old Route 14 at the intersection waiting to turn left when McCoy began to signal for a left turn but reportedly canceled prior to Good entering the intersection. Good struck McCoy's vehicle as it passed in the intersection. McCoy's passenger, Carole L. Good, 68, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, was taken to Salem Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Heidi S. Prine, 39, Taylor Road, Negley, was eastbound on the access road to Beaver Creek State Park Horseman's Camp in St. Clair Township at 6:59 p.m. Saturday and Max Lee Heacock, 25, Main Street, Hanoverton, was westbound. As the two passed they struck mirrors causing damage to Prine's vehicle.

Daniel George Stoffel, 65, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was northbound on state Route 644 in Franklin Township at 4:13 p.m. Saturday and went off the right side of the road and struck a fence. He was cited for failure to control.

Barry R. Girard, 53, Canton, and Kayla R. Bishop, 20, Uniontown, Stark County, were eastbound on state Route 172 in West Township at 3:27 p.m. Saturday and Bishop failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead when Girard slowed to make a right turn and struck his vehicle in the rear. Bishop was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
