EAST LIVERPOOL - Dorothy L. McGonigal Neuch, of Sprucevale Road in East Liverpool, passed away at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Beaver Medical Center in Beaver, Pa. "Dot," as she was known to her friends and family, had been ill for several years, and had been hospitalized since April. She was 74.
A daughter of the late Catherine E. and Harry Dunlap Fleming, she was born on Jan. 28, 1938, in Belle Vernon, Pa. She and her family had come to this area in 1951, where she had lived ever since, with the exception of 20 years in New York and Florida.
A Catholic by faith, "Dot" had been associated with the Hall China Company as a caster, then as a finisher for over 20 years.

Preceding her in death in August 2005 was her husband, William E. Neuch, whom she married on Sept. 19, 1987.
"Dot's" children survive: Kathleen "Kitty" McGonigal Ward and her fiance, Michael Adkins of East Liverpool; Teresa "Angel" McGonigal Wright of Wellsville; James McGonigal and his wife, Kathi, of Pekin, Ill., and John McGonigal and his wife, Johanna, of Slidell, La.
There are eight grandchildren: Roy "Stretch," Amy, Jason, Chris, Sara, Billy, Debbie and Star; as well as 16 great-grandchildren: LynnMarie, Matthew Jr., Breanna, Christopher Jr., Mya, Michael, Matthew, Maxson, Alanna, Ryker, T.J., Summer, Kimberly, Luke, Lynzie and Alysha; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jaymie.
Two sisters also survive, Gloria Pugh and her husband, Gene, of East Liverpool and Janie Edwards and her husband, Roger, of Lisbon; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends who will miss "Dot's" spunk and colorful view of life.
In addition to her parents and her husband, "Dot" was preceded in death recently by a sister, Kathleen "Kat" Everhart, as well as a brother, Harry D. "Buddy" Fleming and a granddaughter, Heidi McGonigal.
A memorial service honoring the life of "Dot" and her late sister, "Kat" will be held later in the summer. In the meantime, family and friends are invited to gather at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the home of "Dot's" daughter, Kitty Ward.
